AKHILA BHARATHA AYYAPPA
SEVA BHOPAL CHARITABLE TRUST

The Sangham Bhopal Branch was registered as Branch No. 5465 of Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangham, Headquarters, Fort, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on 14 August 2019. The affairs of the Branch are managed by an Executive Committee elected in accordance with the Sangham Bye-Laws, with each committee serving a tenure of three years. In line with the provisions of the Bye-Laws, the Sangham is empowered to establish Trusts, Co-operative Societies, and other entities, with the approval of the Head Office, to facilitate the effective implementation of its objectives.

After detailed deliberations, the Executive Committee of the Bhopal Branch, in its meeting held on 20 November 2021, approved the formation of a charitable trust to further the objectives of the Sangham in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The Trust was envisaged to manage and develop assets including immovable property generously donated by Shri N. Gopakumar and Smt. Shobhana Gopakumar, undertake construction activities, and acquire fixed assets for the benefit of the Sangham and its devotees. Following approval from the Sangham Head Office, seven founding members completed the necessary legal formalities and executed the Trust Deed for registration.

Accordingly, the Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Bhopal Charitable Trust was incorporated and registered at Bhopal on 22 November 2021. The Trust has since obtained PAN and 80G registration, enabling donors to avail tax benefits on their contributions. While the Trust functions as an independent Public Religious Charitable Trust, its primary beneficiaries are the members of the Sangham Bhopal Branch. Both entities are committed to pursuing common activities and shared visions, including the development of an Ashram and related initiatives, as approved by their respective governing bodies. The affairs of the Trust are administered by a Board of Trustees.
