About
ABASS Bhopal — history and achievements.
The Bhopal branch was registered on 14th August 2019. The branch was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister, Public Relations Department, Govt. of MP, Bhopal, in presence of large number of devotees, in a function held at Ayyappa Temple, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. As a part of the charitable nature objectives of the Bhopal Branch, the Sangham in the year 2020 has actively setup and operated a Community Kitchen at the premises of Ayyappa Temple, Bairagarh, Bhopal, from where food packets were prepared and supplied to nearby slums areas affected by the Corona-19 lock-down, in coordination with the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, with the active funding for the cause by members & well wishers of the Sangham, which has been appreciated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, devotees, local and national level Print Media etc.
Apart from above, the Executive Committee of Bhopal branch, in its meeting held on 8.3.2020, has constituted a Women’s Group namely “ABASS Naree Shakti Sangham” with the following objectives :-
Objectives of Naree Shakti Sangham:
To provide training on financial savings, fund creation, and resource management in line with the principles of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
To organize programmes on Sanskriti and Sanskar aimed at nurturing children, promoting their holistic development, and preserving traditional values and lifestyles.
To conduct awareness and training programmes for adolescent boys and girls within the community.
To arrange classes and study sessions on Hindu scriptures and life management texts such as the Ramayanam, Bhagavad Gita, Lord Ayyappa Charitam, and other spiritual literature.
To conduct Malayalam language classes for those interested in learning and preserving the language.
To organize meditation and yoga sessions that promote physical well-being, mental peace, and a healthy lifestyle.
To conduct leadership development programmes and training on the concept of sustainable livelihood through subject matter experts and professionals.
To organize group religious pilgrimages and spiritual tours for devotees.
To arrange community picnics and social gatherings that strengthen unity and fellowship among members.
To collectively address and represent common concerns affecting devotees, including issues related to temples where members worship and educational institutions attended by their children.
To strengthen the social, cultural, and community standing of members and their families.
To provide free tuition classes, mentoring, and doubt-clearing sessions for students.
To organize pre-marital counselling programmes aimed at building strong relationships, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting healthy and successful marriages in response to the increasing challenges faced by modern families.
To undertake and implement any additional activities, objectives, or initiatives assigned by the Executive Committee of ABASS or proposed by ABASS Naree Shakti Sangham from time to time for the welfare of the community.
