SCHEME OF SAMSKARA SAMRAKSHANA AWARDS (HARIVARASANAM AWARDS) (ABASS-SSS)
Introduction to Scheme
Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham is purely a religious charitable society mainly engaged in the propagation of sanadana dharma & Ayyappa Dharma. As a part of the mission, Sangham strongly believe that the growing-up stage of children are the right target group for the scheme to some extent.
Objective of the scheme
To develop God-devotion among our growing children by making them to observe daily lighting of sandhya vilakku followed by observing sandhya namam prayers at their home. In this manner, they grow up with spirit of god-devotion, and strong observer & follower of Sanadana Dharma.
Target beneficiaries
- Children between the age group of 5 years and 18 years.
Eligibility criteria
- Children between age group of 5 years and 18 years observing regular sandhya namam, prayers etc at home after lighting traditional sandhya vilakku at their homes and making habit to read and understand various Hindu life management grandhams, Puranas, bhagavatam/Ramayanam etc. Participating in discourses/story telling etc based on Puranas.
Documents required
- Prescribed Application signed by parent(s) on behalf of the children.
- Recommendation of Chief Priest of Malayalee temple near to the area where the applicant resides at Bhopal.
- Test result of online/offline examination conducted by ABASS.
Awards:
The Sangham will organize award ceremony on any suitable date mutually convenient for all. The awards will be distributed by the same Chief Priest malayalee community Temples of Bhopal, by whom the awards were recommended, or by his representative Priest, in his absence. The award can be a good memento of Swamy Ayyappan along with a copy of Hindu holy book.
Monitoring & Management:
For the monitoring and management of the Scheme, ABASS Executive Committee will constitute a Sub-Committee called “Welfare Schemes Monitoring Committee (WSMC)” consisting of five members under the Convenorship of the Secretary. The four members other than Convenor shall be nominated by the Executive Committee, where a member who is not in the Executive Committee may also be nominated. The tenure of the Sub-Committee shall run parallel to the tenure of Executive Committee.
Budget:
Once the scheme is implemented, the same will be open for awards and the Executive Committee of ABASS Bhopal will decide whether to continue or discontinue the scheme based on availability of budget and funding.
Bank account:
The Sangham will open and operate a separate bank account for the scheme.
Proposed Funding pattern:
Funding for running the scheme shall be through donations from members, well-wishes, sponsorships, ABASS branch contribution, etc.
