APPROVED WELFARE SCHEMES

AKHILA BHARATHA AYYAPPA SEVA SANGHAM, BHOPAL

      PREFACE

The  Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham,  Thiruvananthapuram,  Kerala,  established in the year 1945, and  presently  one of the largest Religious & Charitable Societies in India, having presence of activities globally through more than  5600  branches, has registered a Branch at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on 14th August 2019. The branch was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister, Public Relations Department, Govt. of MP, Bhopal.  As a part of the charitable nature objectives of the branch, the Sangham in the year 2020 has actively operated a community kitchen at the premises of Bairagarh Ayyappa Temple, from where food packets were supplied to nearby slums areas affected by the Corona lock-down, in coordination with the Bhopal Muncipal Corporation, with the active funding for the cause by members & well wishers of the Sangham, which has been appreciated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, devotees, local and national level Print Media etc.     

The Annual General Meeting of the Sangham held on 28.2.2021 has approved 04 welfare and charity schemes namely Skill Development for Unemployed,  School Education Assistance Scheme for Children, Senior Citizen Monthly Financial Assistance for Members & Samskara Samrakshana Awards (Harivarasanam Awards), with specific budgetary provisions.  It was decided in the AGM that, the Executive Committee will formulate complete scheme and its guidelines. Accordingly, the Executive Committee in its meeting held on 25.7.2021 has appointed a Sub-Committee consisting of Vice President, Secretary, Jt.Secretary, & Chairperson Naree Shakti Sangham, for drafting these scheme & guidelines and to put up the same before the Executive Committee Meeting of the Sangham for further needful. The Sub-Committee members jointly drafted these schemes and recommended for implementation in the virtual meeting held on 29th September, 2021. The recommendations have been examined by the Executive Committee   and the schemes were finally approved by the Executive Committee meeting dt.10.10.2021.
